Lukavtsi
Lukavtsi (known until 2005 as Lukivtsi, Lukyvtsi) is a town in eastern Bukovyna, in Vyzhnytsia raion. It is located on the Siret river. It is large village, and located in the foothills of the Carpathians. Lukavtsi is an old village, and was founded in 1428.
The pysanky below are from the collection of the National Museum of Ukraine of Decorative Folk Art located at the Pecherska Lavra (Monastery of the Caves) in Kyiv. They were written between 1975 and 1980. This was the tag on the display:
