This page contains some of the more intricate pysanky that I bought in Kosiv and Kolomyia, towns in the Ukrainian Carpathians. They are a mix of chicken, duck and goose eggs.  All use Hutsul motifs and divisions, but have changed them around enough that they are no longer really traditional.

Many of these pysanky originate from Kosmach, which has appears to become the pysanka-producing center of Ukraine. Many of those eggs utilize the Kosmach resheto (yellow hatchwork with red infill), but others don’t.
