The village of Holovy was founded in 1677, and is located between Verkhovyna and Bukovyna (Chernivtsi oblast).

The pysanky below were photographed at the Museum of the Pysanka between 2005-2019, and were written by Yevdokia D. Boichuk (b. 1926). Many have characteristics of Bukovynian Hutsul pysanky .   

Several of the pysanky have second photos to help appreciate the entire design.  Some photos are of poor quality, but included for completeness.
