In theory, I had lots of free time this year to write snowflake pysanky; in reality, other projects took longer than planned, so I ended up writing only two dozen. There weren’t even enough to take a nice group photo. I played with dark red again this year, and it gave a fairly nice, albeit dark result, as in the pysanka above on the left. Except on the one egg that got really dark......and looked almost black.  My nephew loved it, so all’s well.
