The woodcut at the top of this page was made by Jacques Hnizdovsky, a renowned Ukrainian graphic artist. It portrays the traditional Easter holiday cycle: baking a paska, gathering pussy willows for blessing on Palm SUnday, taking the Easter basket to church to be blessed, dancing to vesniavky-hahilky, the blessing of the baskets, and Polyvanyi Ponedilok.
