A “nakleyanka” is simply and egg with decorative items glued to it. Here are several examples, including three eggs that I bought in Lviv at an art gallery several years ago. They are simply roughly formed wooden eggs with a coat of golden paint, and sequins and cloth braid glued on.
The last two represent the art of gluing straw to wooden items to create designs. These two are particularly nice examples, as the finish has been burnished to a very high level of gloss and smoothness.
