Faux sgraffito:  a form of egg decoration pioneered by Iryna Vakh. A multicolored background is painted onto an eggshell with dye.  A design is written with wax, and then the egg is dyed a dark color (e.g. black).

finding:  in jewelry making, findings are the various metal parts used to form and assemble jewelry--claps, hooks, earring wires, etc.  In pysankarstvo, the term is used to describe the metal fixtures used to hang pysanky, as in when they are used as Christmas ornaments.

freezer method: a technique used to prevent the seepage of dyes through the shells of emptied eggs.
