These are some examples from my collection of the “40 Triangles” designs for brown eggs. Some are based on traditional designs, others I’ve made up myself. Very simple designs can give stunning results, but intricate ones are nice, too.
When making pysanky with brown eggs, especially those of a deeper brown shade, I try and stick to very simple color schemes, as not all dyes look good on brown eggs. A simple two-color egg is quite nice, especially when black is the second color,and a three color egg with red and black can be stunning!
