The pysanky on these pages are traditional designs from Volyn, copied from the pages of Erast Binyashevsky’s “Ukrainian Pysanka” (Eраст Біняшевський, «Українська Писанка») and other publications.   The colors may differ slightly from the originals, as modern aniline dyes often present a different color palette from old botanical preparations, and printed drawings don’t always capture the pysanka colors properly.

I’ve included two views of each pysanka for easier reproduction, should you choose. Names, when given in th eoriginal source, are supplied.  Nota bene: Binyashevsky was known to change the names of pysanky from the original sources.
