Painted Fantasies
I bought these wooden eggs from the artist. She was selling them on Independence Day (August 24) in Kyiv, on Andriyivskiy Uzvizd (one of Kyiv’s oldest streets, it goes from the newer part of the city, up in the hills, to the old city “Podil” on the banks of the Dnipro).
These wooden pysanky are the size of a large goose egg, and are beautifully hand painted by the artist, I. Pasternak. I think the house in different seasons is particularly sweet, and the gold accents are stunning. They are quite gorgeous to behold!
